Indis (Q, pron. [ˈindis]) was the second wife of Finwë. She had two sons, Fingolfin and Finarfin, and two daughters, Findis and Írimë. She was also the stepmother to Fëanor. After the slaying of her husband, she, along with her eldest daughter Findis, returned to live among her people, the Vanyar. Her mother was a sister of Ingwë, King of the Vanyar.
