Joseph Power

Brother Joseph Power (b. 1925) is a retired professor of English Language and Literature at [wikipedia:Walsh University|Walsh University]. He received his B.A. from the [wikipedia:University of London|University of London], and later gained an exhibition to St. Catherine's College, Oxford (reading for an Honors Degree in English Language and Literature).[1]

During this time he visited Tolkien's house for evening instruction in Old English, but instead joined the Tolkiens in a celebration of the republication of The Hobbit (likely the second edition of 1951[2].[3]
