Jude Fisher is a pseudonym used by the English science-fiction and fantasy novelist Jane Johnson.

Life

From 1984 to 1992, Johnson was the Publisher of the Tolkien list at Allen and Unwin, Unwin Hyman and HarperCollins. Her main task was commissioning artists like Alan Lee, John Howe and Ted Nasmith for calendars and book art. During the production of The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy, she spent much time in New Zealand with the cast and crew, and produced several books about the films.

After a near-fatal accident, she went to live in Morocco, but she still serves as HarperCollins' Fiction Publishing Director.
