Jules Bass
American director and composer Jules Bass (born September 16, 1935) founded the Rankin/Bass production company, along with fellow director Arthur Rankin Jr. He and Rankin were the directors and producers of the animated adaptation of The Hobbit in 1977 and The Return of the King in 1980.
