Julian Tolkien (1935[source?]-), son of Hilary Tolkien, is the nephew of J.R.R. Tolkien. He and his wife Glynis has three sons: Timothy, Nicholas and Stephen.

Julian Tolkien has recalled that his uncle John Ronald was a "witty raconteur" and that he "saw the fun in things and had strong Christian principles".[1]
