Canafinwë (Q, pron. N [ˌkanaˈfinwe], V [ˌkanaˈɸinwe]) was the father-name of Maglor, second son of Fëanor. Formed by adding up the Quenya noun cáno, which means "commander", to the name of his grandfather, it can be translated as "Strong-voiced of Finwë".
