lambe is a noun meaning "tongue" in Quenya.[1]
Lambe is also the name in Quenya of the twenty-seventh letter of the Tengwar alphabet. [1] In all modes this letter represents L.[2] The Westron name for this letter is Alo.[3]

The word derives from the Primitive Quendian root LAB.[4]
