Summary

Tolkien comments on the "Atomic bombs", and denounces such tactics as "utter folly". With both moral and intellectual decline, such weaponry in the hands of men would not be very wise. But if all goes well, Japan would cave in. Tolkien ends the fragment with the statement that we are all in God's hands, and God does not look kindly on Babel-builders.
