Letter 2
From Tolkien Gateway
Letter 2 is a letter written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Summary
This letter was sent 27 November, 1914, to Edit Bratt, and told about his (according to him) somewhat boring day drilling and attending classes. Near the end, however, he remarks: ". . . There was a bad paper but an interesting discussion. It was also composition meeting and I read 'Earendil' which was well criticised."
