Letter 304 is a letter written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

This letter, dated June 4, 1968, is addressed to Clyde S. Kilby. After his retirement, Tolkien went to live on the south coast of England to avoid fans. He informs Dr. Kilby that Allen & Unwin will forward all his mail, and only a selected few will know the actual address.

It is not implied whether Dr. Kilby was among the selected few, but it can be implied that he was not.
