Letter 6
RecipientMrs E. M. Wright
DateFebruary 13, 1923

Letter 6 is a letter written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

This letter was sent to Mrs E.M. Wright on 13 February 1923. Mrs Wright was the wife of Joseph Wright, Tolkien's former philology Professor. Mrs Wright had sent Tolkien an offprint of an article by her husband about Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Tolkien acknowledges its arrival, and asks about her husband. He then tells of his home situation: John and Michael had been ill with measles for most of January.

In a postscript he informs her that philology is making progress at the University of Leeds.
