On December 1968, J.R.R. Tolkien wrote a letter to Mrs Parker.[1]

From the auction
1pp., 6 lines with hand-drawn Christmas holly to one corner and signed "J.R.R.T.", [1968], wishing Mrs Parke the best for Christmas and a happier and more fortunate 1969, folds, 8vo . Mrs Parke acted as driver and general helper to the Tolkiens for several hours a week, after responding to an ad in a local Bournemouth newspaper placed by Edith Tolkien.
