Lisa Star edited the journal Tyalië Tyelelliéva. She also used to moderate the Elvish Linguistics mailing list.

As of 2008 Star seemed to have withdrawn from the Tolkien scene and nobody seemed to be able to contact her.[1] Her official website received a final update in March 2009 before eventually disappearing because of Geocities going offline.

Star claimed to had witnessing several Tolkien manuscripts at Marquette. However the information she provided sometimes had been accused as inaccurate or imprecise.[2] such as for example the reference to the supposed language "Mørk" by Tolkien.[3]
