Dor-lómin ceased to exist as a realm of the Edain following the battle of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, when all of Hithlum was occupied by Easterlings in the service of Morgoth. From this point Dór-lomin was ruled by Lorgan of the Easterlings. Conceivably however Húrin's son Túrin and then his nephew Tuor and grandnephew Eärendil could claim to be its rightful Lords, until the land was drowned along with the rest of Beleriand in the War of Wrath.
