Mámandil

Mámandil is a Quenya word meaning "friend or sheep" and possibly also "shepherd".
"Mámandil" was the pseudonym of Hallacar of Hyarastorni while he wooed Ancalimë on the pastoral lands of Emerië.[1]
Etymologies
The name derives from Máma "sheep"[2] and -ndil "friend of, devoted to".
