mírë (or míre, mīre) is a Quenya word. As a noun, it means "a treasure, a beautiful (precious) thing, especially (but not solely) a gem, jewel";[1] plural form míri.[2] As an adjective, it means "precious".[1]
It is also shortened to mir.[source?]
