Tolkien went to a school founded by John Henry Newman, a gay man who seems to have been very influential on Tolkien's works. One of Tolkien's best friends was Geoffrey Bache Smith, a gay man who was part of T.C.B.S. And J.R.R. Tolkien was a big fan of Oscar Wilde and Mary Oliver's works, both of whom write very queer stories. Plus, why can't there be gay elves!? #QueerPride undo Tag: Undo

  • curprev 02:3202:32, 29 September 2023Maedhroþ talk contribsm 8,762 bytes −2 I changed the language of 'wife' to 'spouse' because on page 318 of 'The Peoples of Middle Earth', it says "...others who were wedded were Maelor, Caranthir." Due to the fact that it never specifies the gender of Maglor's spouse, it is left to the reader to decide more about this character. We should not just assume that every character is straight, because this is simply not true. undo Tag: Visual edit
