Manthor was the son of Agathor and Meleth. When Húrin Thalion came to Brethil and caused injury to Hardang, Manthor vouched for him before the Haladin's court of justice. When Húrin's honour was restored and Hardang deposed, he suggested Manthor be Chieftain of the Haladin, but Manthor was slain shortly after.
