Manwendil was the third child, and second son, of Elros Tar-Minyatur, the first King of Númenor. Though he left descendants, nothing of their lives was recorded.[1]
Etymology
His name means "Devoted to Manwë" in Quenya (from -ndil = "friend, lover, devoted to").
