Michael Elsworth (June 12, 1932) is an English actor, now living in New Zealand. He worked with Peter Jackson in an uncredited role in The Frighteners, and work with him again in Jackson's grand opus. He is credited as "Gondorian archivist" in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, but also appeared uncredited as Círdan and doubled for Gandalf when Ian McKellen was unavailable.
