Mormegil

Mormegil was Sindarin for "Black Sword" and was the name given to Túrin Turambar while he dwelt in the halls of Nargothrond. He was given this name in reference to his black sword Gurthang, which made him the city's leading warrior.[1]
Etymology
The name is composed of morn "black" and megil which is a variant of magol.
