Morwen is a character invented specifically for Peter Jackson's The Two Towers film. She is the mother of Freda and Éothain (other characters invented for the film), whom she sends to alert Théoden that the "Wild Men" are pillaging through Rohan. Her children are kept at Edoras until Théoden leads his people to shelter at Helm's Deep, where the children are reunited with their mother.
