Mother Mary Anthony 12 April 1966 is a letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Mother Mary Anthony, written on 12 April 1966.[1]

  • Subject: Charles Williams. Tolkien writes that he has little personal knowledge of Williams's "biographical or mental history", and that he "had no personal discussions with him about literature. His work gave me no pleasure [...] But I found him a pleasant companion socially."
