The region around the three Mountains of Moria

The Mountains of Moria were Celebdil, Caradhras and Fanuidhol, beneath which Khazad-dûm was delved by the Dwarves.[1] The main body of their city (later called Moria) seems to have been beneath Celebdil, which they called Zirakzigil, and which was crowned by Durin's Tower.[2]
