neithan is a Sindarin word meaning "one who is deprived".[1] When Túrin dwelt among the Gaurwaith, he used it along with the alias "The Wronged".[2]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
neithan is derived from root NEK ("deprive"). Its Quenya cognate is nehtanō.[3]
