nwalme is a Quenya noun meaning "torment". Its older form is said to be ngwalme.[1]
Helge Fauskanger has suggested that the forms nwalmë/ngwalmë (retaining the same meaning) could be valid Neo-Quenya.[2]
nwalme is also the name of the twentieth letter of the Tengwar alphabet.[1]
