ocamnar is a Quenya word meaning "diphthong".[1]

It is not know if it is the singular or the plural. If it is the plural, the singular is *ocamna. If it is the singular, the plural would be *ocamnari.[source?]

[edit] Etymology

The word comes from a possible PQ Root *KAM and contains the prefix o-.[source?]

[edit] Other versions

An earlier version of the word is osamnar/samnar from a root SAM.[2] Since Tolkien updated the word, that root would also retroactively be *KAM.[source?]
