Oiolossë was one of the names of Taniquetil.[1]
Etymology
Oiolossë (also spelled Oiolosse)[2] is Quenya and means "Ever-snow-white"[1] or "Everwhite/snowy"[2].The name seems to consist of oio "ever" (cf. root OY-)[2][3] and losse "snow".Template:Or
In Eriol's Old English translations, Oiolossë is referred to as Sinsnaw, Sinsnaewen "Ever-snow".[4]
The Sindarin equivalent of Oiolossë was Amon Uilos.[1][2]
