Olin was a Dwarf from Thorin's Hall. When the Longbeards left the Blue Mountains Olin and a small guard were left in Thorin's Gate to protect Thorin's Hall and report to Dáin.[1] But Gormr Doursmith, Steward of the Dourhands, poisened him and killed his men.[2] They left him in the Silver Deep Guard House to die.[2] Finally in T.A. 3016 a company of Dwarves from Erebor arrived at Thorin's Gate and the Dwarf player healed him with some mushrooms named Nestadalas.[3] When Dwalin, leader of the company, learnt of the Dourhands treason they were finally driven out of Thorin's Hall.[4]
