Orald was a name for Tom Bombadil used by the Men of the Vales of Anduin and Rohan.[1]
Etymology
The name means "very old, original/primordial elder" in Old English, from the prefix or-, "original, old" and ald, the Old English form of 'old' (cf. German Uralt, same meaning)[2]
