The name Pel refers to more than one character, item or concept. For a list of other meanings, see Pel (disambiguation).

pêl (plural peli) is a Noldorin noun meaning "fenced field".[1][2]

Etymology

The word is a descendant form of Old Noldorin pele, deriving from root PEL(ES). Tolkien also notes the word tūn ("fenced field"; identified as Old English by Christopher Tolkien) in connection with pel.[1]
