Reginard Took was one of the many descendants of the Old Took, Reginard was old Gerontius' great-great-grandson (though his line of descent was far from that leading to the Thainship). He was the elder brother of Everard Took, and like Everard, he was present at Bilbo's Farewell Party, though unlike his brother he was not mentioned directly in the history of that event. Reginard was a near contemporary of Frodo Baggins, born just one year after Bilbo's adopted heir.
