Ring*Con is an annual J.R.R. Tolkien convention held in Germany.
After the box-office success of Peter Jackson's The Fellowship of the Ring, Marcel Bülles and Stefan Servos, webmaster of Herr-der-Ringe-film.de, decided to organize a convention to bring together fans of The Lord of the Rings. The first Ring*con, of 2002, had 1,500 guests.
Convention guests are actors from Peter Jackson's movies and experts on the field of Tolkien studies. Mark Ferguson is the only actor to appear on all 6 conventions so far. He will also appear in this year's convention.
