A member of the [[Bolger family]], who married [[Belba Baggins]]. Belba was the younger sister of [[Bilbo Baggins]]' father [[Bungo Baggins|Bungo]], and so through his wedding, Rudigar became one of the Bilbo's uncles. The son of Adalgar Bolger and husband of Belba Baggins, Rudigar became head of the Bolger Family as the eldest heir. He had one son, Herugar.[1]

Etymology

The name contains hrod "fame" and gar "spear".[2] It is the Middle High German form of Old English Hrothgar and modern Roger.
