Second Age 1000 (abbreviated to S.A. 1000) is the 1000th year of the Sun of the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Tar-Ancalimë weds Hallacar, son of Hallatan.[1]
- About this year Sauron, alarmed by the growing power of the Númenóreans, chooses Mordor as a land to make into a stronghold. He begins the building of Barad-dûr.[2]
