Notable events in this year include:

Aldarion returns from a fourteen year long voyage from Middle-earth with ships that were battered and broken by the seas. He had first sailed to the haven of Vinyalondë and then sailed along the coasts southwards, far beyond any place that had been reached by the ships of the Númenóreans before. On his return northwards he had encountered great storms, scarcely escaped shipwreck in the Harad and found Vinyalondë overthrown by great seas and plundered by hostile men.^[1]
