TAW, or TAWA, is a Primitive Quendian root signifying "wood".[1][2]

Other versions of the legendarium
In the Qenya Lexicon appears the root TAVA, signifying "beam".[3] In the Etymologies appears the root TÁWAR-, signifying "wood, forest".[4]
