It seems to me that the name (at least in the editions of 2004 and 2005) should be Írensaga, the initial I with an acute accent. It is unclear to me when the name has been changed, in my old paperback from '83 or '84 it is still Irensaga. The Finnish translations have Írensaga from at least 1985. Reader's Companion does not comment the change. Nomenclature (RC 772) has Írensaga with no explanations. But in the manuscripts published in The War of the Ring (pp. 312-314) the name is still in form Irensaga and Christopher Tolkien does not comment on any eventual change in the final text. --Tik 05:10, 19 February 2008 (EST)
