Balin('s tomb) in adaptations

I just saw that Ederchil uploaded screenshots for the most games. Altough he (or his grave) is also portrayed in EA's The Two Towers, Aragorn's Quest, Conquest, LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar and LOTRO: Mines of Moria. I'll upload Conquest and Shadows of Angmar, I hope I can do it this week. I also have The Two Towers for the PS2, but as far as I know it isn't possible to make screenshots on it (or is it?). Could somebody upload Balin from the other games? --Amroth 14:52, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I have Conquest and TTT for PC, but I never got around to playing beyond the tutorial. I'm not that good at that kind of game. As for screenshots from PS2... you apparently need a capture card in your PC, and play the game on the PC monitor. --Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 15:18, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Comic book (not) in adaptation

I saw that with all of Ederchil’s additions to and improvements of the adaptation section he completely scratched the comic book. Does that not count as an adaptation? Or did you have another reason for removing it, Ederchil? — Mithrennaith 04:34, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I wanted to reinstate it, but met a kind of snag: the text that Ederchil dropped read:
1989: The Hobbit (comic book):
Balin is portrayed white-haired and quite old; around the same age if not older than Fundin. This can be excused since nowhere is mentioned in The Hobbit that Fundin is his father (their relationship is mentioned only in Lord of the Rings).
This sounds rather strange, as Fundin is of course not mentioned at all in The Hobbit, and indeed I can’t find Fundin mentioned anywhere in the comic book edition either. So I feel that I can only reinstate the mention of Balin as white-haired and quite old. I suspect the comparison should have been with his brother Dwalin, who looks quite a bit darker-haired and younger in this adaptation, and that is what I have turned the rest into. — Mithrennaith 03:49, 8 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
