I see this article is redirected from Bansil. Why is this and why is there no article titled Bansil? I think we should not make too many redirect pages. --Earendilyon 15:58, 11 May 2006 (EDT)

Bansil was one of the earlier names for Belthil. It was used in the Fall of Gondolin, and later became Banthil, and finally Belthil. --Narfil Palùrfalas 16:05, 11 May 2006 (EDT)
Redirection is a difficult subject. Personally I'm for less redirection and more articles but that's just me. At the very least though Belthil should mention the earlier names as at present if someone clicks on Bansil they have no clue why they are being redirected to Belthil. --Hyarion 16:12, 11 May 2006 (EDT)
