This article states that the Noldor of Fingolfin "passed through the Gate of the Noldor" to enter Hithlum. But the article on "Gate of the Noldor" states that it was built by the followers of Turgon (who was the son of Fingolfin, and entered Hithlum with his father). One or the other is incorrect. My question: which is it? --Narfil Palùrfalas 14:35, 10 July 2006 (EDT)

Karen Wynn Fonstad shows the Cirith Ninniach having a long stairway carved into the rock that leads to the Gate of the Noldor. This implies significant excavation which the Noldor would not have had time for until after Fingolfin arrived. I think the entry is incorrect and should be changed to Cirith Ninniach. --Ebakunin 15:14, 10 July 2006 (EDT)
