I noticed that this page was redirected to Dúnedain of the South. However, were all Gondorians of Númenorean lineage? I'm no expert at all in this area, but I just remember the (fanon) texts from MERP where the people of Gondor are seen as a mix of many different people. If would be interesting to know to which extent this notion can be derived from the texts of JRRT. (What I'm trying to say is that we should perhaps still have a separate article for "Gondorians" in he future - perhaps...) --Morgan 23:12, 5 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There definitely were pre-Numenorean Gondorians. I vote for a rewrite, with Dúnedain of the South redirecting to this. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 15:01, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think the distinction Morgan is trying to make is that Gondorians = Pre-Númenórenas + Númenóreans + Northmen (+, presumably, a few Rohirrim, Corsairs and Haradrim). As such, they should be separate articles representing separate peoples, like the difference between "British people" and "British Asians", for instance. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 15:13, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
