"Lámatyávë was practiced when Elves named their children." – What does this mean? I thought the children should be capable of (practising themself, so to say) lámatyávë before the ceremony (Essecilmë) where they gave a (chosen) name to themselves. So, "Elves named their children" is as misleading as "Lámatyávë was practi[s]ed". Or am I wrong? --Tik 17:36, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
