::I did some quick research and we were both wrong. ''[[Half-elven]]'' comes from mixing [[Men]] and [[Elves]] only, since they have conflicting [[Doom of Men|fates]]. Even though her mother was a [[Maia]] and she later became mortal, Lúthien was sill considered one of the [[Eldar]]. What race was Lúthien?

I did some quick research and we were both wrong. Half-elven comes from mixing Men and Elves only, since they have conflicting fates. Even though her mother was a Maia and she later became mortal, Lúthien was sill considered one of the Eldar. It was Beren that started to complicate everything. --Ebakunin 22:04, 30 June 2006 (EDT)
