::::I agree with the principle of notability. TG is meant to serve the readers and they are most likely to search for the most common name. I vote to move Námo to Mandos and Irmo to Lórien.--Gamling 19:58, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
:::::I would move Námo to Mandos. I think Irmo is actually a more common name than Lórien for the Vala (thanks to Lothlórien);if Lórien becomes the article, then a lot of people looking for Lothlórien are going to be confused. -- 13:41, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
::::::Yes, I would say that Mandos is the more commonly known name (as it also says in the article). For Lórien/Irmo, I agree with Mith: most people are likely to search for Lórien when looking for the article on Lothlórien.--Morgan 15:10, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
:::::::+1 to Mith, readers will likely get confused, especially if they haven't read the Silmarillion, between the Vala Lórien and the country Lórien. --Amroth 15:17, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
::::::::Well, I would have suggested that Irmo should be moved to "Lórien (vala)" to avoid confusion. But I'm not strongly in favour of moving it anyway. We should remove (or re-phrase) the 'who was usually named Lórien' comment, however. -- 16:23, 25 March 2012 (UTC) |

- I agree with the principle of notability. TG is meant to serve the readers and they are most likely to search for the most common name. I vote to move Námo to Mandos and Irmo to Lórien.--Gamling 19:58, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I would say that Mandos is the more commonly known name (as it also says in the article). For Lórien/Irmo, I agree with Mith: most people are likely to search for Lórien when looking for the article on Lothlórien.--Morgan 15:10, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- +1 to Mith, readers will likely get confused, especially if they haven't read the Silmarillion, between the Vala Lórien and the country Lórien. --Amroth 15:17, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I would have suggested that Irmo should be moved to "Lórien (vala)" to avoid confusion. But I'm not strongly in favour of moving it anyway. We should remove (or re-phrase) the 'who was usually named Lórien' comment, however. -- KingAragorn talk contribs edits email 16:23, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
