''N'''i'''rnaeth Arnoediad'' (as it appears in the published ''Silmarillion'', and most other sources) or ''N'''í'''rnaeth Arnoediad'' (as it appears in ''The War of the Jewels'')? Personally, I would favour a note on the alternative spelling Nír-, "often without accent" (as CT says), and move article to how it appears in ''The Silmarillion''. --[[User:Morgan|Morgan]] 23:34, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Made some minor changes-- how do you leave Morgoth out of the list of commanders? He was the guy. --Theoden1 15:58, 14 May 2008 (EDT)

Replaced raw infobox with template-- tough job. --Theoden1 20:03, 20 May 2008 (EDT)

I think it was me who wrote that infobox and i left Morgoth out because he did not actually appear in the battle. They were Morgoth's forces yes, but he did not command them in the field and putting him as commander would suggest his physical presence in the battle which would be confusing to say the least. Map

I'm wondering what the purpose of the map is, and why it's so high, above the introduction. -- Ederchil 03:33, 22 May 2008 (EDT)

As I don't see a pupose of it either, let alone at that place, I'll delete it. ~ Earendilyon 06:10, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
EDIT: blocked the image in stead of deletion. ~ Earendilyon 06:13, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
The idea, guys, is to lay out the scene upon which this tragedy unfolds. Are you objecting to the fact that there are no battle arrows here? It was a colorful, quality map. And there is a delete procedure and it's more complicated than an arbitrary delete.--Theoden1 10:11, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
Clarification, okay. But if you put on top, it is more obfusciation. A smaller version of the map is okay with me. And I'm fine with the new location. -- Ederchil 10:26, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
Okay, that was fast. Maybe if you make it a thumb, and add a caption? -- Ederchil 10:28, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
I'm working on some battle arrows-- graphics is hard work. So just hang on and you'll see some arrows by tonight. --Theoden1 11:37, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
