::::Are we still going with a delete, seeing as the Smaug reference has been entirely purged? --{{User:Mith/sig}} 09:05, 24 July 2011 (UTC) |

Memo from the Dept. of Nitpicking: This article says that Bilbo called Smaug "the Magnificent". Actually, Bilbo calls him "Your Magnificence" just before he scampers up the tunnel (followed by a blast of fire from the dragon). Should a separate article be made due to the difference between an adjective and a noun, or should this article be edited a bit, or is it OK as is (with a reference added)? -- Gamling 23:20, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- I noticed this when I did the Smaug article; it really bugged me that "The Magnificent" crops up everywhere but no where in the text. Is this an example of fanon? +1 for deleting this. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 23:25, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- ;) +1 for deleting it altogether. It's not properly a "title", just a honorary name used by Bilbo once, as far as I can understand.--Morgan 23:26, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
