Thorin is a Dwarf, who's average height is 4 to 5 feet. And yet in the movie trailer for "The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey" the actor is portraying him looks a little taller.—Unsigned comment by MattTheRanger (talk • contribs).

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Chronicles - Creatures and Characters, a book released by WETA, contains a Character Size Chart and Thorin is said to be 4' 10 1/2" or 1,49 cm. He is the second tallest dwarf after Dwalin. --Sandy 11:55, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- As that's from an adaptation that is not canonical. It could be included in the "Portrayal in adaptations" section, though. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 12:01, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- I am not saying that this is canonical. It is a response to MattTheRanger who says that Thorin seems rather tall in the adaptation. However, I have similar information from official Weta books concerning most of the characters from the Hobbit films. Should I add them under "Portrayal in Adaptations"? --Sandy 12:39, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
 Portrayal in adaptations
- Obviously the trilogy entry presents generic information while individual entries present plot or specific information. This makes sense, although the generic information could be moved under the entry of the first film, if you think it'd be tidier that way. Sage 17:47, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
