thalion is a word glossed as "strong, dauntless, steadfasr" (Sindarin)[1][2] and "hero, dauntless man" (Noldorin; pl. thelyn)[3].

Etymology

In the Etymologies, Noldorin thalion derives from Primitive Quendian stalgondō, from root STÁLAG.[3]
