The Oratory School is Roman Catholic independent boarding school in Woodcote, Oxfordshire. Michael and Christopher Tolkien were pupils there in the 1930s when it was located in Caversham in Berkshire.[1] Michael was later a master at the school and when staying with him J.R.R. Tolkien occasionally covered lessons for absent teachers.
